Lots has happened so far this month.

Here is some of it.

Cooper turned 5 months old.

Mom bought me a little mailbox.

I got to decorate it with stickers.

Every morning I get a little "Valentine" in my mailbox.

Sometimes she puts it under if it doesn't fit inside.

It's been fun.

Cooper does lots more stuff now.

He likes to play in this thing.

He can sit up by himself too.

And on some days...he takes really good naps.

Hope the rest of the month is just as fun!

Last year for Father's day, me and mom bought dad these guys from dad's favorite show.

We haven't played with them very much, so I asked dad if we could.

Mom came in to take pictures and she told us that we needed to let Cooper play too.

I'm not sure you understand how impressive this is.

I don't like things on my fingers.

I like to eat with a fork.

I like to color with crayons and markers...

and I wash immediately when I am done.

I always have a napkin around when I am eating.

I just like to be clean.

Mom asked me if I had ever finger painted at school.

Nope...are you kidding?

She asked if I wanted to try it once.

"Sure, I guess I can try it once"

And I did.

It took me a bit to really get into it.

I never used more then the tips of 2 fingers.

It is called finger painting after all.

But then I started mixing colors and having fun!

This is what I made.

Mom put it in a frame and hung it up for me!

Dad had a birthday.

Last week was Dad's birthday.

We took cupcakes and balloons to his work to surprise him.

Then we had a family party.

I played the drums.

and dad blew out his candle.

For the party games...connect 4...I'm really good.

It was a super fun birthday for dad!

I play with my "cars cars" every day.

I get dad to play with me too.

Sometimes, we even let Cooper play.

I really like when Cooper is where I am at.

Especially so he can watch me play.

Sometimes he doesn't pay attention to my toys...

but sometimes he does.

Mom says when Cooper gets bigger I am going to have to share my toys with him.

We will see about that...

.I really wanted Cooper to take a bath with me.

Mom let him stay in long enough for Dad to take a picture and to wash him super fast. Mom says that we need to wait till he gets bigger before he can get in my tub again. Oh well, it was fun for those few minutes. I even showed him my duck while mom washed him...maybe when he's bigger I will let him play with some of my toys.

My 2 weeks in Seattle are all done.

I had so much fun playing with my cousins.

Here are a few things that we did after Christmas:

Mom found a new way to give Cooper a bath.

Me and Vicki played video games.

She didn't even let me win.

Mom spent some time with her sisters and mom in Seattle.

Cooper got to go.

I didn't.

Mom bought me and Cooper matching shirts.

I also got to spend 2 nights at Grandpa Joneses house...it was lots of fun!

I'm really happy that I get to see dad today.

But I'm also really sad that I am leaving...I'm really gonna miss Cameron.

I hope I get to see all my family again really soon!

Christmas in Seattle....Part 1

I got to take Cooper on his first airplane ride.

He did really good...mostly he slept...or ate.

I watched a movie....and then we were there.

Kensie and Steve and Jamie and Blakely came to Seattle too.

I took dad to a Washington basketball game.

We had a lot of fun!

I got to stay the night with Grandpa Jones and Grandma Mim.

I really liked riding in his car.

We went to the zoo to see the Christmas lights...

and had pizza...

and stayed up really late.

Then we celebrated Christmas with them on Christmas Eve.

I got a REALLY cool T-Rex from the show dinosaur train.

Then we all went to the mall...Grandma Mim gave me $10...

then I picked a name (I got Christi)...

then I went with mom and I had 30 minutes to pick out a present for Christi.

I picked out a really pretty ring...it was gold...it said "LOVE".

"Look mom...it's a ring for 2 fingers!"

Then we went to Mandy's house and some of mom's aunts, uncles and cousins came over.

We ate dinner and decorated cupcakes.

Then we opened up some new jammies that Grandma Bonnie made.

And then it was finally time for Christmas.

Santa brought me Sid the spy plane.

and a double decker bus

and the movie Cars 2.

Cooper got an elephant.

It plays nice music.

He really likes it.

Then all of mom's brothers and sisters were there.

We filled up the stairs!

and after lots more presents...

it was time for church.

There are only 7 days left till Christmas.

There is only 1 day till I go to my Grandma's house.

I am VERY excited.

Mom has been trying to keep me occupied.

Cooper has learned how to occupy himself.

I call him Little Man now!

Last week I had my school program.

I started the program like this...

But ended it on the other side of the line with mom by my side.

Lily kissed me.

"You see...my school friends aren't supposed to kiss me and one of them kissed me."

I may have thrown off my jingle bell necklace...

folded my arms....

stormed to mom...

cried...

and refused to perform.

I did sing the last song...sort of...those tears just kept coming and I needed to stop singing a few times to hug mom. Lily just won't ever leave me alone.

In other news, I got to use a cookie dough gun to make cookies for our neighborhood friends.

...And I still love to entertain and "play" with little man...

A Gingerbread House

Mom decided that a puzzle gingerbread house would be WAY better than another real one.

I thought so too because I could do it mostly by myself instead of watching mom and dad do everything.

Almost all the pieces went on like stickers..."easy peasy lemon squeasy".

There were even candies...fake ones.

Christmas lights around the temple.

Mom got us all bundled up to go see some lights.

The lights were very pretty...but it was cold!

Mom brought hot chocolate for us.

It was really yummy!

I drank lots...

and lots...

I liked seeing all the lights around the temple...

but the hot chocolate may have been my favorite part!

Elf on the Shelf...Epic Fail!

There was a present under the tree tonight.

I saw that it was for me and Cooper from Mom and Dad.

Mom let me open it before bed.

I kept asking if it was a toy.

Mom said no...but it would be fun.

Mom lied.

Mom read the book to me.

I kept asking her (pointing at the red guy in the box) if the book was about him.

She said yes.

Then she read that I couldn't touch him.

She read that he would fly to Santa every night.

all of this made me very upset.

She read that every day he would be somewhere else

in the house and I would have to find him.

"But what if he's hard to find?"

The more she read the more I didn't like it.

When she was done...I just sat and stared at that red guy in the box.

"Is he real?"

I heard dad say that mom was freakin' me out.

Mom finally decided that I wasn't falling for that crap.

Maybe the look on my face was evidence enough.

She told me that he wasn't real...that he was just a toy.

Well...that didn't make it any better.

"You tricked me"

I yelled at her while crying.

I.was.mad.

Of course, mad or not I did have to give that thing a name.

Ewdew...rhymes with tutu...a funny word I say a lot.

(don't ask...)

Then I asked mom if we could keep the book and throw the guy away.

Mom didn't like that very much.

It was not the best present opening experience.

Before I went to bed I asked mom if she was going to hide it for me to find...

I overheard mom telling Cooper that I am going to be a buzz kill for anything he wants to believe in...

I kept calling it Valentine's Day...

But mom said it was Thanksgiving.

There was lots of food.

This was Don's plate. He must have been hungry.

Aiden and I had our own table to sit at.

The grown ups sat at the big table.

We ended the day opening presents from Grandma and Grandpa Thompson

because we won't see them on Christmas.

I got the police car that I wanted.

Man was I excited!

The next day we decorated the tree.

Mom did most of it.

No matter what you call it...

It was a fun weekend.

We went out to dinner and then bowling with the Baileys.

I loved it.

Brian won...mom was close...

I'm pretty sure that Trey beat his mom and maybe even my dad.

Then I got to play a couple games.

I like bowling...but I'm better at the Wii.

I helped Vicki, Christi and Mom rake up the leaves.

Lots of our family was there.

Mom was getting bugged by the long chunks of hair on Cooper's head.

So she gave him a haircut.

He sat very still and didn't even cry.

I think I did a good job taking the pictures.

The sides look better...maybe she should have taken a little off the top.

I think he is super cute.

Mom was having a party.

Me and dad had to leave.

I grabbed my coat, my hat and my shoes...

and we were out of there!

We went to the Spaghetti Factory with the Bailey Boys.

I played tic tac toe with Kevin (he's 9)...I won!

Me and mom took Cooper to the doctor.

He's 2 months old and has to get checked.

Mom told me that he had to get shots.

I made sure that I wasn't getting any before we left the house, while we were in the car and as we walked back to the doctor room.

Mom had to take all of Cooper's clothes off...

I took a picture.

Cooper is 24 inches long

He weighs 11 lbs 9 oz

The doctor said that Cooper is in the 90th percent for height and 50 percent for weight and his head. Mom said I was 90th for all 3 things...

Cooper did good for his shots...he got 3 just like I told mom he would.

To celebrate how brave he was, we went to Mcdonalds for lunch...

I ate and played...Cooper slept!

The past few days...

Cooper had another bath...mom and dad liked his soapy hair.

I got to spend Saturday with my cousins.

This is the only one mom could find...

but Carter and Blake were here too!

On Sunday, mom had to go pick up some stuff from her friends...

when she came home she found us like this...

...and Cooper turned 2 months old on Tuesday...

For the third year in a row I got to go trick or treating with Jo & Grace.

Mom bought us a jack o lantern pizza and

Grandma Thompson gave us spooky skeleton straws.

After dinner we headed out to get some candy,

(but mom had to take lots of pictures first)

"Mom, take a picture of just me, I'm gonna transform. Jo, Grace back up."

Cooper came too!

We went to LOTS of houses.

Cooper had to go home early with mom to eat.

But he stayed up so he could see all my treats.

I sure did get a lot!

"I really like trick or treating. I wish we could do it every night."

Spooky Pumpkins

I have been very excited to carve the pumpkins we picked.

Mom made us wait a couple weeks because she said it was too warm

for the pumpkins to be outside...she said they would get yucky!

Well...I was patient...

I really wanted to help but I really didn't want the yuckys all over my hands.

Maybe I should have worn gloves like dad.

I helped a little!

Mom did most of it.

Dad worked very hard on his!

Mom finished ours WAY before dads.

But they finally were all done together.

Cooper is too little to carve his.

Fall Fun!

We went to Cornbellys...and had a lot of fun!

We jumped...

and climbed.

We slid...

some of us (or them) on their coats to go super fast.

We drove the go carts...

and looked tough doing it!

Cooper mostly did this...

Then mom thought it would be a good idea for us to try the corn maze.

We finally got out alive.

But only because Jamie cut through the corn and we ducked out the side.

Mom says maybe we shouldn't do the maze with three little boys and a baby...

and 2 moms who aren't very good with their sense of direction.

I started swimming lessons again.

I did really good.

I even put my face in the water.

at the end of lessons we get to play.

Me and mom got dad to play hookey so we could all go play together.

I love "home days" even if the are just "half home days"

We went to Park City

Cooper hung out like this the whole time.

While me and dad went on the rides.

We went on the really big slide.

"Hey mom....woohoo"

I didn't want to go on the coaster at first...I was scared.

Mom told dad not to call it a roller coaster.

After we went on the slide I decided the coaster would be fun too!

Do you know what my favorite ride was?

The coaster...it was awesome!

I also went on an airplane.

I flew from Salt Lake City to Washington to visit Grandma Bonnie.

Mom spent the day looking at and taking pictures of this.

It was a pretty fantastic day!

We took Cooper to feed the ducks.

Well, I fed the ducks...

Cooper stayed in the stroller.

Mom let me push him.

When we got to the pond it looked like this.

YUCK!

But even ducks in yucky water need bread.

I tore the bread in little pieces and lined them up...

Then I knocked them off one at a time (very fast)

while yelling, "Cannon Ball"!

Don't know why...but it made feeding the ducks even more fun!

Last week I sent mail to Cameron and Kensie.

I sent them pictures of polar bears because our zoo is going to have polar bears next year.

My teachers at school helped me put the mail in the envelopes,

but mom had to put on the stamps.

Cameron must have really liked getting mail because he sent me some mail back!

I was SO excited to get mail in the mailbox with my name on it!

I don't really like to get my haircut.

When mom takes me to my haircut place,

I let them...I don't love it...but I let them.

Dad has been trying to get me to let him cut my hair for a long time.

I always say no...but I finally let him.

Why is dad shirtless you ask?

"Hello, he doesn't want to get hair on his shirt"

Me on the other hand...I don't want hair on my skin.

Me: Mom, why do you always spike Cooper's hair?

Mom: Because I like spikey hair.

Me: Well, I like hair that is flat down.

Cooper didn't have to get his hair cut,

even though it is WAY longer than mine.

A trip to the park

We took Cooper to the park.

He got to ride in the stroller.

I rode my bike.

Grandma played "race down the slides" and Hide and Seek with me.

I won every time!

Lots of firsts for Cooper

Cooper has done lots of new things.

On Saturday he went for his first ride in the stroller....

I got to push him!

It was our first outing as a family.

I have been wanting Cooper to ride in his swing SO bad.

On Sunday he finally got to take a ride.

He also went to church for the first time.

He did so good.

He stayed awake through all of Sacrament meeting and didn't cry once.

Me: Mom, make sure he gets some bread and water.

Mom: He can't have the bread and water.

Me: Why not?

Mom: He's too little...he can only have milk.

Me: Even for a snack?

Cooper got to wear the frog shirt for the first time on Monday.

It may not seem like a big deal...but it is to dad.

He bought the shirt for me when I was baby and he loves it...he told mom that even if Cooper was a girl, she would have had to wear it...good thing he's a boy:)

And...

the perfect way for me to spend my morning before going to school...

He's only 12 days old...but he has done lots of new things...

and I'm there for every one of them!

More dad and Dallin time

Dad had to take his car to get fixed and he wanted me to come with him.

I didn't really want to go, but dad wanted mom to be able to sleep and he didn't want me at home bugging her,

so he told me if I came with him that we could go to a breakfast place to eat.

Okay...if you are buying breakfast...I'm in!

They had really cool kid's toy to play with while I waited for my pancakes.

Oh...and they have really good pancakes.

I LOVE hot chocolate...so I got some.

They even put it in a cup that I could take with me.

I sure do love hanging out with Dad!

Bath time for Cooper

Mom let me help give Cooper a bath.

I used a toothbrush (that the hospital lady gave us) to clean his hair.

I was very gentle.

It's okay that he was crying.

When I was a baby, I cried when I had a bath.

(me...April 2007)

I tried to talk to him to calm him down...but he wasn't listening.

He was much happier once mom got him dressed and I gave him his pacifier.

Back to school

Today was my first day of school.

Last night mom let me pick out my clothes and lay them on my brown bench.

She told me that in the morning I had to get dressed before I could watch my shows.

When I woke up this morning I laid down in mom's room for a little bit...then jumped up, "don't turn on the TV, I'll be right back".

I came back half dressed (I needed a little help with my buttons).

Mom was so proud of me that I remembered that I had to get dressed first.

I'm going to the same school that I went to last year.

But this year I am 4...and I get to go to school 3 days a week.

This year I am in the blue room.

I was a little sad I wouldn't have the same teachers...

but my new teachers are nice and I have some friends in my class from last year.

I asked mom to take me to school.

Dad stayed home with Cooper.

Since mom dropped me off, I let dad pick me up.

We went to lunch together and then hung out.

This time mom got to stay home with Cooper.

I was very excited to go to the hospital yesterday because it was the day that mom was coming home...and bringing the baby with her.

She finally let me push some buttons on her bed.

After we waited for a really long time for mom to see all the doctors and get stuff from the nurse, it was time to put clothes on Cooper.

He didn't really like it.

I tried to make him feel better by talking to him and checking his heart.

Then mom let me buckle him in the baby seat.

and it was time to go!

Look, I don't have to ride in the back of the car by myself anymore!

I think he is really happy to be home!

Everyone at the hospital was asking me what my new baby brother's name is. I told them buddy. Dad said Cooper...and I got a little upset about it. But when it was time to go, I realized that Cooper could be his name...but I'll still call him buddy...sometimes.

"Ok Cooper, it's time to go home"

My new brother is finally here.

On Wednesday night, mom told me that the next day I would be going to Jonah's house because she was going to the hospital to have the baby. She said that she wasn't sure what time she would be going to the hospital, or how long it would take the baby to come..so Grandpa Jones would pick me up in the afternoon just in case.

I had so much fun at Jonah's and even more fun with Grandpa...

but I just wanted to meet my new baby brother.

When we got to the hospital, the baby wasn't in the room. Daddy had him, but brought him to us very soon. Oh my was I excited! Daddy quickly put him in my arms. I loved him instantly.

This is what our family looks like now.

This is Cooper.

I like to call him buddy.

I know what he needs.

I will let you know what that is.

On Friday, I got to go see him again before I spent the day with Grandpa Jones, Mim and Aiden's mom and dad. We wet to the zoo and I had a blast!

Before I went to bed, dad took me back to see mom and my buddy.

Yep, still love him the same!

My life as a Thompson just got a whole lot more crazy!

I got to meet my new preschool teachers the other day.

I was pretty excited until we got there,

"Mom wait, I'm kinda scared"

She held my hand the whole time we looked around the room.

She also had to tell my teachers my name.

When we were leaving she reminded me of their names and told me that they would be easy names to remember. To which I said,

"You know what names are really easy to remember? Miss Millet and Miss Connie."

(They were my teachers from last year. I'm kinda sad they aren't my teachers again)

Because mom shouldn't be lifting anything.

Just because all the big kids started school today,

doesn't mean I can't keep enjoying summer

and the 95* we are getting all week!

Mom says this is the last pool open during the week.

All the other pools are closed for school.

Me, Jo and Grace are real happy it was open.

Maybe I can convince mom to take me back at least one more time this week.

One last visit

I got to see Kensie and Blakely one more time.

They were flying home to Atlanta, but their plane stopped in Utah.

We went to the airport to say hi and bye...one more time.

Camping with mom's family...without mom

Me and dad got to ride on an airplane.

We went to Washington.

We camped by a lake.

Mom couldn't go "because of the baby".

But most of her family was there.

And I had the best time ever.

I swam.

and fished.

and rode on the tube.

I even got to drive Grandpa's boat.

The best part of the trip was all the fun I had with my cousins.

especially Kensie.

Kensie was very brave...she skied on the skimmer.

Dad tried to get me to do it...but I said no.

That's ok.

Cause Kensie didn't care that I didn't ski...but she was very proud of herself.

You can call us Rock stars.

When we weren't playing and playing...we were relaxing.

Uncle Steve is very silly.

I sure wish we didn't live so far away from each other.

It was a super fun week.

I didn't want to leave.

BUT...I was very happy to see mom.

At bedtime I asked mom when we could go camping again...

she says that maybe next year we can go...

and we can even bring our baby!

The place with the balls

I have been asking mom for months if we can "go to the place where we went with Trey that has the balls"...she calls it the Children's museum.

She kept telling me that we would go there when the weather gets cold again...something about spending time outside since it's warm.

Guess she changed her mind, because the other day we got to go.

I love to ride on all the different ride on toys.

I sorted some mail.

filled my police car up with gas.

drove the helicopter.

operated a crane.

and sat on the horse.

I LOVE this place!

I like routine...

I had my last day of swimming.

Mom told me that it was going to be a play day.

I was confused.

I thought we were having swim lessons and then staying to play.

I don't deal well with change.

I got upset and didn't want to participate in the play day.

"No mom, it's swim lessons...we don't play we are taught swimming".

It took me awhile, but I finally went over and watched my friends go down the slide.

I wanted nothing to do with that big slide.

Then my teacher took our class over to the diving board.

I went and sat by mom.

She finally convinced me to go watch my friends jump in the water.

They ALL did.

So...I guess I can be a follower...

My teacher walked me out to the end of the board.

and then I "jumped"

(okay, my teacher lifted me down to one of the waiting life guards)

It was really fun!

I did it 3 times.

And the last time I jumped more than was lifted,

and my face even went in the water.

Turned out to be a fun "play" swim lesson day.

A day with Dad

Last Saturday, Mom wasn't feeling very good...."the baby?" (I ask her that anytime she is tired, or in pain)...she says her hips are hurting. Anyway, since mom was hurting, dad and me spent the day together.

First, we made "soft toast".

Mom keeps saying french toast...

I call it soft toast 'cause it's kinda like toast but it's soft.

Then we set out tent.

Me and dad are going camping so we set it up to make sure we have all the parts.

After we got the tent all packed for our trip, me and dad decided to go swimming.

Dad's car is getting fixed, so he borrowed a really awesome truck.

I got to ride in it...and I LOVED it!

We swam for lots and lots of hours.

Then we came home and woke up mom so we could go to dinner.

We went to a BBQ place. It was yummy...

and these guys were there playing music.

I was excited that they were playing the drums and guitars, but it was kinda loud.

It was a really fun day with Dad.

You could lose your kid in this place.

Swimming Lessons

I've been bugging mom since last fall to

"go up on the mountain to cook hot dogs and smores with the Baileys".

We finally got to go...

I was very happy!

After I ate 1 1/2 hot dogs...we made some smores.

I love them...

"I want a marshmallow that isn't roasted on a graham cracker"

Brian made fun of me...at least I didn't build a smore and then rest it on the roasting stick and put the whole thing over the fire...

Besides eating...I played and played and played with Trey and Kevin.

All the boys went in this really cool cave...

I even remembered to bring my flashlight.

I also took a pee break...actually, 2 of them.

and I slid down the mountain on my bum.

It was a really fun night!

It was like Christmas!

A few weeks ago, me and mom went to the toy store to buy a birthday present for Jo.

I saw this really cool crane and I really wanted it, but mom said no.

She thinks I have too many toys.

I even asked if I could call dad and ask him if I could get it...

but she said no again.

I talked about that crane for the next few weeks.

Mom and dad kept telling me I have too many toys.

About a week ago, I told mom that I was ready to get rid of some of my toys so I could get the crane. Mom said if I got rid of some that we would go to the toy store and see if the crane was still there. We went through all my toys and got rid of the broken and yucky toys.

On the way to the toy store, mom told me that the crane might not be there.

I told her that I would be sad, but I understood.

We went to both toy stores...

No crane!

I was upset, but I didn't get mad or cry.

Mom said we could look on the computer and see if we could find one.

We did!

Mom ordered it...and told me that it would take a week to come.

"A week is a LONG time"!

Guess what finally came?!

"I'M SO HAPPY!"

It's pretty much the coolest crane ever!

"I love my new crane!"

Chips and white dip

Steve is in Texas, so he told me to call Jamie's phone.

Jamie didn't answer:

"Hi Jamie, it's me Dallin...I want to talk to Kensie...call me back"

Kensie called me back:

"Hi Kensie. Um, I'm gonna see you soon when we camp. If you ski on Grandpa's boat you get ice cream. (I said this a few times). Ok...bye!"

A birthday party at a bouncy place

Fun with family...day 5

Sunday was our last day with our family.

Mom made salmon for dinner and it was yummy!

Then we got to make smores.

I LOVE smores.

"Mom, I just want the graham cracker and the marshmallow...no chocolate...and I don't want the marshmallow roasted".

So I ate mine while dad started the fire.

"good job dad!"

My aunts and mom's cousin Mackenzie were very serious about their marshmallow roasting.

Cameron made his own too!

I did finally roast some marshmallows...but they were for mom and dad...

mom ate 3...but she said it's okay because 1 was for the baby, 1 for her and 1 for her birthday...

whatever mom!

Then, because it was the 24th of July, we got to do fireworks.

and we watched snakes grow...and tanks fight.

and some were loud.

and some put off cool smoke.

It was lots of fun!

I really liked having my family here.

I miss Cameron already.

I get to see him and all my Jones family again in 3 weeks when we go camping and you can't even imagine how excited I am about that!

Fun with family...day 4

Saturday, mom and her sisters went to the "market" while me and Cameron stayed with Daddy.

We got to go to Costco and played at home.

They walked around in the hot sun and looked at stuff.

After they got back we all went swimming together.

It was lots of fun.

Cameron was very brave and even jumped off the big diving board.

I played in the big water with my life jacket on and then me and dad played and played and played in the little water...it was super fun!

Fun with family...day 3

Mom took us to a dinosaur park.

I was a little scared when we got there...

I didn't want the dinosaurs to move or make any noises.

Mom reassured me that the dinosaurs wouldn't move.

And then she showed me the big black speakers that the dinosaur sounds were coming from and then I was not scared.

"Mom, I'm not scared at all, not one little bit"

I was happy to have my picture taken by lots of dinosaurs.

I even wanted to stick my face through all the funny pictures.

Cameron found these guys,

"Look mom...the cereal guys".

Mom, Vicki and Mandy laughed a lot when he said that.

Whatever...I just want to ride the pink dino.

After we looked at all the dinosaurs,

we got to use the brushes to dig up fossils.

On the way home we stopped at the airplane museum.

It.was.cool.

We got to see and touch lots of airplanes and even some helicopters.

But the best thing was the really big jet.

After our fun filled day, mom left me and Cameron with Addie

and she went out to dinner with some of her cousins.

Fun with family...day 2

Our second day together we went to a new pool.

Mom said that I have been there before...but I was really little.

I showed off my new jumping in the pool skills.

I don't even care that my face goes under the water.

I kept telling mom to back up so I could go in all by myself.

I jumped in more times then mom could count.

This pool has slides...lots of them!

And boy were they fun!

I got a little more brave...or crazy the second time down.

The life guard may have had to talk to me after this turn...

Vicki took me down the big red one the first time.

When I got off...my body was shaking,

"I'm gonna go on that one again...ALL BY MYSELF"!

I was so excited...SO excited...

I went down so many more times.

I even went down it lots and lots without my vest and...

HEAD FIRST!

It was a super fun day!

Fun with family...day 1

Cameron, Mandy and Vicki are at my house.

They are going to be here for lots of days.

Our first day together we took them to a fun park with lots of little water.

I got to try out my new squirt gun that dad bought me.

It's super fun!

After fun in the water...

we got some ice cream.

Then we watched the spraying water at the mall.

Cameron did get in it later...I didn't!

Family day

I really look forward to home days with dad. It doesn't mean that we stay home...it just means that dad doesn't go to work...I LOVE those days.

Yesterday was a home day.

First we went to a farmer's market...after mom got her popcorn and cherries,

I got to play on the toys for awhile.

Then we went to a mall.

Dad went off shopping by himself, while me and mom went to our stores.

Check out how I can wear my hat...

Mom found me some dinosaur cutters for my playdough.

Then I watched kids play in water...I didn't want to go in it...

Just watch.

Then we ate some lunch and headed to the pool.

I showed dad how I can float in my life jacket.

We swam for just a little bit...

Then the clouds got dark and the thunder and lightening came and we had to get out of the pool. I was a little sad, but I was okay going home and playing with dad.

It was a fun "home day"!

Me: (silent and thinking)...So why isn't Grandma Bonnie's Grandpa your dad?

Mom: well, my mom and dad decided not to be married anymore...

Me: Why would they do that?

Mom: cause sometimes people decide not to be married anymore and then they marry other people.

Me: OH.

4th of July 2011

First thing this morning, after I got up made my bed and brushed my teeth...mom told me it was time to get dressed to go to the parade.

We went with Kevin and Trey and Addie came with us too.

And I got to wear my new shirt!

Jamie brought pops for all of us...I LOVE those things.

We threw lots and lots while we waited for the parade to start.

The people in the parade always throw candy.

I don't like it 'cause it sticks to my teeth.

I decided to try a blue one "cause it's my favorite color".

I chewed it for a long time, then it kept sticking, so I spit it out.

My favorite things in the parade were the jeeps that climb on each other...

(I have monster trucks at home that I made do the same thing)

and all the bands...

tubas are my favorite and if the band didn't have tubas I didn't really care about them.

The day was kind of cloudy and a little bit rainy...so we couldn't go to the pool like mom and dad wanted. I was okay with that because I just really wanted to stay home.

We did go to the park for a little bit...it was really hot out.

For dinner, Jo and Grace came over.

We did play in my pool for a long time.

And we roasted hot dogs on mom's new fire.

and we made smores.

I wanted one without chocolate.

Then I realized that it was a sticky mess.

So I didn't want it at all.

Mom REALLY likes them...she doesn't even care that they are sticky.

(in mom's defense...we roasted lots of marshmallows and so she had to make up lots of smores super fast...and then was holding them for us...of course, we didn't eat them...so mom did)

Then we got to light "fireworks".

Mom kept calling them that...but these are NOT fireworks.

We really liked the colored smoke...

and the tanks that shot each other.

After ours were all gone, me and dad walked around the neighborhood so I could take pictures of real fireworks...here's one of them.

At bedtime I told mom that I liked everything about today!

A day on the lake

Friday we got to go on Rick and Teri's boat.

I went when I was 2...I was much more brave this time.

I liked Daddy to do lots of things and I wanted to do things too.

(mommy did nothing..."your belly again?" said with heavy sarcasm)

I've been practicing at the pool to float with my vest.

I'm really good at it...but I didn't want to try floating in the big water.

I was having a great time sitting on the ladder splashing Addie until...

I fell in.

My face went under.

I wasn't happy.

(mom said something to dad about when I am 15 maybe she will tell me what really happened....I think maybe mom may have helped me "fall")

Don't worry...that little mishap didn't discourage me from the water.

I got over it.

Daddy went on the wakeboard.

I thought he did good.

I also got to drive the boat.

and then I went on the "big round floaty raft"

and boy did I LOVE that.

Addie and her friend bonked heads when it was their turn.

To make Addie feel better I invited her to come with me.

I think she liked going slow with me.

No bonking heads and no tears.

I also got her friend to get back in.

I just love the "raft".

It was a really fun day!

I can't wait to go on a boat again!

My vacation to Grandma Thompson's house

Mom and dad drove me to Grandma Thompson's so they could go to Las Vegas.

Hailey and Carter were at Grandma's when we got there.

We got to play with them for the day before they went back home.

We went to the park and played on the toys and in the water.

Well, Hailey and Carter played in the water...I touched it with my feet.

Then we fed the ducks.

They weren't very hungry...so we threw rocks instead.

(not at the ducks)

When it was just me and Grandma and Grandpa...

We went to a dinosaur place that had lots of dinosaur footprints.

Then we went to a water park...

and fed the ducks some more. They were hungry this time.

Mom and dad came back from Las Vegas to pick me up and we drove home.

I had a lot of fun with Grandma!

Taylorsville Dayzz 2011

I love the carnival.

There are so many fun things to do.

Like drive a car...

and a motorcycle...

and a big truck...

and a train...

and another train...

and a flying saucer.

I even went on the caterpillar roller coaster.

I had lots of fun on all the rides.

Then dad went with me on the big yellow slide.

We raced...it was a tie!

I just love the carnival.

I'm already bugging mom about when the carnival is coming back...

"I really love my new life jacket"

Mom bought me a life jacket.

I wasn't really sure about it at first.

Mom put me in the water and told me that it would keep me above the water so I could swim around in the big water. I didn't really believe her and kept hanging on to her.

She told me that we could go back to the stairs...(I think she let go of me)...

"Did I just float?"

And then the fun began.

I floated and floated and swam and swam.

I can float on my back and on my front.

I even jumped in one time and went all the way under...but guess what?...My life jacket put me back above the water and I was so proud of myself.

I stayed in the pool for over 3 hours, just having fun with my new life jacket.

I could go swimming every day!

No more little water for me...

"Apple Pie"

The other day me and mom were at "the store with the big white D" and I saw this really cool thing that you can spin. I asked mom what it was and if we could get it. She told me that it is an apple peeler cutter thingy and that we have one at home.

I've been bugging her ever since to use it to make apple pie.

She finally got it out and let me do it.

At first it's pretty easy to turn the apple.

Then it gets really hard.

Mom has to hold the bar down so that I don't get apple juice on my arm.

See? I did it!

Then we mixed up the apple pie stuff.

and then mom cooked it.

We got to eat it after dinner.

Mom said we could have ice cream or cream with our apple pie.

Me and dad wanted both.

But my ice cream and cream had to be in a separate bowl.

mmmmmmm.

then I tried my apple pie.

I told mom it was the best thing I ever ate.

Then after that one bite I gave it to dad:)
