My life as Mama Thompson

Every one always says..."they grow up too fast"..."enjoy this time before it's gone"...yeah, yeah...but it is so fun to watch them get big and talk like they are adults and well...you know! Besides, even if during the day he acts like he's 5 instead of 2...at bedtime, he is still the baby. We get to rock and rock and rock and rock....well, we did...till the front came off the crib so he could get out without jacking up his chin...then the rocking stopped...and it was "mom, rub back"...so I got to sit by the side of the bed and rub his back till he didn't need that anymore...and now...I don't even get to do that! We are 5 nights and 5 naps straight of sleeping in the crib all night without getting out...and the past 2...He has informed me that "mom go downstairs, I cuddle blanket"...WHAT??? What about cuddling mom? I NEED that! Luckily, he still loves me a little and knows how to meet my needs, so between 6 and 7 am....he joins me in "mama's bed...cuddle mama". Thanks buddy, I love you too!
