"I touch it...right there"

Yesterday when I woke up from my nap, I found mommy in the garage putting white stuff on my "new bed"...

Me: I do it...
Mommy: no, it's too messy and wet...mommy does it!
(a few minutes later)
Me: I do it...
Mommy: no, it's wet and you will get all messy...mommy does it!
Me: Mommy do it...
Mommy: yep, mommy does it!
(I start playing with my scooter...but not outside 'cause there is lots of rain)
Mommy: be careful...please don't touch...it's wet. (she said this lots of times)

Me: mommy....I touch it....right there!
Mommy quit painting after that!

You just have to threaten them with their life...that normally works. :)

Oh, I can't wait to see it. I bet it turned out great!

That actually sounds like something one of my 9th graders would do. But I expect Dallin to pass through that phase much more quickly.
