An outside party

On Monday, mom was very busy working on stuff...when I asked her what she was doing, she said we were going to a party...

Me: Addie's party?
Mom: no, a party for our neighborhood.
Me: Is it Addie's birthday?
Mom: No, it's not her birthday, it's not a party for Addie, it's for all of our neighbors.
Me: Will there be streamers?

there were no streamers, but lots and lots and lots of lights...
and snow to play in with Trey...
and fires that made smoke go in my eyes...

and daddy was there. Mom wanted to take a picture...

"Argh...shiver me timbers". (that's what pirates say)

While mom was setting stuff up, I was in Addie's house. Addie told me about the party, so when mom came in to get something I told her,
"Mom, I want to eat a doughnut outside in the dark"
When it got dark and the doughnuts came out...there were no maple bars.
"I only want a maple bar".

So I get a little sad for a minute.

But then mom got me some hot chocolate with "marshmellies" and everything was good again!

Oh, I got every last marshmelly!

It was a pretty fun neighborhood party...even if there weren't any streamers!
