Pumpkin Patch

Every year we go to the same pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins.

It's serious business...picking the perfect pumpkin.

Cooper really wanted to hold one...but it had to be little.

We finally decided on 4 perfect pumpkins.

It's always fun to pick pumpkins!

Pumpkin Patch

I got to go to the Pumpkin Patch with my cousins.

I wasn't really sure I wanted to go with them...

but mom told me I didn't have a choice.

At least we went to the patch that we go to every year...

because that is what we do every year. :)

Once we got there I was glad they were there.

We had a lot of fun...and got dirty...and mom got stung by a bee.

Maybe she should have ridden in the wagon with us kids.

Everyone picked a pumpkin...I got to pick out Cooper's.

I sure do love the pumpkin patch!

Mom says we have to wait a couple weeks before we can carve them so they don't get yucky in the warm weather...

I can't wait!

Spooky Pumpkins

I have been very excited to carve the pumpkins we picked.

Mom made us wait a couple weeks because she said it was too warm

for the pumpkins to be outside...she said they would get yucky!

Well...I was patient...

"Ewwww"

I really wanted to help but I really didn't want the yuckys all over my hands.

Maybe I should have worn gloves like dad.

I helped a little!

Mom did most of it.

(we both like to smile the same at the camera)

Dad worked very hard on his!

Mom finished ours WAY before dads.

But they finally were all done together.

Cooper is too little to carve his.

"Spooooooky!"

"Pumpkin Patchin"

"Mom, when are we going pumpkin patchin?"

(kinda like going fishin'...but you get a pumpkin instead)

"I'm gonna pick out a pumpkin for me and a little one for Cooper"

Mom: Dallin, pretend like you are pulling the cart

Me: It's heavy.

Mom: you don't have to pull it for real, just pretend.

Me: Ok, now mom, you pull it for real.

Me: I'm done. I'm not pulling that thing any more.

I really like the pumpkin patch!

Celebrating Halloween

Mom made me this shirt to wear to school on orange shirt day!

Last night we "chopped faces into our pumpkins with a knife".

EWWWW. Mom got all the yuckys out for me.

Then it was time to chop!

"I don't want a scary face. I want a nice pumpkin face".

"It needs a tongue hanging out.

'Cause people have tongues coming out of their mouths."

Daddy made a nice face like mine...with a tongue and all.

Mom tried to make a spider hanging off a web...she messed up her web and it all fell out!

Still looks kinda cool though, huh?!

Pumpkins!

Last Monday for Family Home Evening, we went to the pumpkin patch.

Mom said I could pick out any pumpkin I wanted.

I really liked the little ones...they are so cute!

Mom thought I might like a big one.

I finally found one just my size.

Mom had to get 2...I wanted 2, but mom said I could only get 2 if I could carry them both. Um mom, how come you got 2? You didn't carry them...dad did? Whatever!

Mom says we will carve them soon...I don't know what that means...

"I want a lil one"

We went to the pumpkin patch tonight..."sun was asleep"

daddy kept trying to get me to pick a "big one" but they were "too heavy...can't carry"...mommy found this one for me...

but daddy found me a better one...with no green...even though green is my favorite color.

This is mommy and daddy...all the big people asked if they could take the picture, but mommy let them know that I can take the picture all by myself!

I think mommy likes to go to the pumpkin patch the most...
