Luck 'O the Irish

Mom says I'm part Irish.
I don't know what that means.
St. Patrick's Day is when you wear green and there are these little men called Leprechauns that hide gold at the end of the rainbow...or something like that.

You decorate with 4 leaf clovers...or 3 leaf because mom likes how they look better.

Mom came up with one project using glue and paint.
I came up with the other...Painting clovers for the wall.
I think my idea was better.

That's all I know about this holiday.
I just hope I get a surprise!

I fingerpainted...

I'm not sure you understand how impressive this is.
I don't like things on my fingers.
I like to eat with a fork.
I like to color with crayons and markers...
and I wash immediately when I am done.
I always have a napkin around when I am eating.
I just like to be clean.

Mom asked me if I had ever finger painted at school.
Nope...are you kidding?
She asked if I wanted to try it once.
"Sure, I guess I can try it once"

And I did.

It took me a bit to really get into it.
I never used more then the tips of 2 fingers.
It is called finger painting after all.

But then I started mixing colors and having fun!
This is what I made.

Mom put it in a frame and hung it up for me!

More crafts with mom.

Mom loves to do crafts...
I love to help.

I'm a really good painter...and I don't even get it on my hands or clothes...
"that would be yucky!"

My very own hot chocolate mug

I LOVE hot chocolate.
Mom decided it was time for me to have my very own mug.
I got to color it however I wanted.

Mom made one too...(for me)

Can't wait to drink some hot chocolate in it!

crafts with mom

Yesterday me and mom made lanterns.

I helped with the lion...and mom made the monkey.
It was pretty fun!

Mom says when the box says ages 8 and up, they really mean it...and even though you see me using "white glue", it didn't really work, so we had to use the "hot glue"...I was a good helper, and mom only got burnt a few times!

Art Project with Mom.

Mom decided today would be a good day to do an art project.

She let me do almost everything all by myself.
She said I did a good job!

We picked all the red and pink crayons and put them in a sharpener and made lots and lots of "shavings".

Then we ironed the crayons so they would melt.

I liked the pink and red okay, but I asked mom if we could do a green and blue one since green is my favorite color and blue is dad's favorite color.

Mom said it was SO pretty. I think it's cool!

Then mom traced hearts on my paper so I could cut them out.
I tried, but then I made mom finish.

and we put all the hearts on the window.

Mom says they are Valentine's day decorations...
whatever that is!

Ohhh...so there are rules about where I can paint...

I liked painting so much...
that I found some markers and did some more painting...

mama wasn't quite as excited about my painting abilities on this project.

What...you don't like cold hamburgers?

On Tuesday mama and I decided that we needed to get some groceries, but first we made a stop at daddy's work and he decided to come with us.  When we got to the store mama asked daddy if he would just eat lunch with me while she did the grocery shopping...something about me not wanting to sit in the cart and it would be easier with out me...ouch, that kinda hurt!

So daddy and I ditched mama and got come burgers and fries.  I was being a real good eater and ate half of my burger...then mama got done shopping and got herself a burger.  Well...by the time mama got there, mine was cold and hers was nice and warm.  She asked me if I wanted a bite...so I took it!

Then mama asked if she could have a bite...well sure mama if you are hungry...
so I gave her mine...I was just trying to share!

During my nap, mama started painting some plates for Christmas cookies...
she wasn't done when I woke up, so she let me paint a plate!

Can you guess who's is who's?
I really like my use of color and shading!

After dinner mama went with her girls to see this...

She said that before Christmas she would take me to see the pretty lights!
