No longer a "solo joe"...

finally.

A couple of weeks ago mom told me that she was going to have a baby. I was sad the first day she told me...but then the next day, I got very happy and wanted to talk all about it. When mom asked me if I thought we would have a brother or sister...I said sister...and we would name her Aubrey, just like baby Aubrey down the street. Mom said that we wouldn't name a baby sister Aubrey...but we would come up with another name. Then mom said that it could be a brother...

NO WAY...it's going to be a sister...and don't tell me otherwise.

Today mom went to the doctor...

Me: what are you doing at the doctor?
Mom: the doctor is going to use a special machine so that he can see inside my belly and see the baby.
Me: I want to see the baby.
Mom: Well, you can't go...but he will take pictures and I will show you the pictures of the baby.
Me: I'm gonna get my binoculars
Mom: Why are you gonna get your binoculars?
Me: So I can see inside your belly and see the baby.

Mom said that wouldn't work....so I guess pictures will have to do.

It's a....

I was kind of sad when mom and dad told me...I really wanted a little sister. But then I said it was okay that we have a brother. Mom told me all the things that I could teach him and I told her that his favorite color would be green just like mine:)

At dinner I looked at mom and said, "Mom, I still am a little said that we aren't having a sister". Mom says that's okay...that I will love my little brother and will have lots of fun with him!

(mom's due Sept. 7th)

My favorite part? "Let's just do it later." What a fun time he is going to have. I hope he adapts to sharing mom.

That's adorable...good job on turning the copy game around on him. You'll definitely have to show that one to him when he's older.
