December Happenings!

There are only 7 days left till Christmas.
There is only 1 day till I go to my Grandma's house.
I am VERY excited.
Mom has been trying to keep me occupied.

Cooper has learned how to occupy himself.
I call him Little Man now!

Last week I had my school program.
I started the program like this...

But ended it on the other side of the line with mom by my side.

Lily kissed me.
"You see...my school friends aren't supposed to kiss me and one of them kissed me."

I may have thrown off my jingle bell necklace...
folded my arms....
stormed to mom...
cried...
and refused to perform.

I did sing the last song...sort of...those tears just kept coming and I needed to stop singing a few times to hug mom. Lily just won't ever leave me alone.

In other news, I got to use a cookie dough gun to make cookies for our neighborhood friends.

...And I still love to entertain and "play" with little man...

A day with Dad

Last Saturday, Mom wasn't feeling very good...."the baby?" (I ask her that anytime she is tired, or in pain)...she says her hips are hurting. Anyway, since mom was hurting, dad and me spent the day together.

First, we made "soft toast".
Mom keeps saying french toast...
I call it soft toast 'cause it's kinda like toast but it's soft.

Then we set out tent.
Me and dad are going camping so we set it up to make sure we have all the parts.

After we got the tent all packed for our trip, me and dad decided to go swimming.
Dad's car is getting fixed, so he borrowed a really awesome truck.
I got to ride in it...and I LOVED it!

We swam for lots and lots of hours.
Then we came home and woke up mom so we could go to dinner.
We went to a BBQ place. It was yummy...
and these guys were there playing music.

I was excited that they were playing the drums and guitars, but it was kinda loud.

It was a really fun day with Dad.

I helped mom make banana bread

oops...guess when mom says turn it on to 2 she means it.

It's okay though...it was just an accident:)

"Apple Pie"

The other day me and mom were at "the store with the big white D" and I saw this really cool thing that you can spin. I asked mom what it was and if we could get it. She told me that it is an apple peeler cutter thingy and that we have one at home.

I've been bugging her ever since to use it to make apple pie.

She finally got it out and let me do it.

At first it's pretty easy to turn the apple.
Then it gets really hard.

Mom has to hold the bar down so that I don't get apple juice on my arm.
See? I did it!

Then we mixed up the apple pie stuff.
and then mom cooked it.

We got to eat it after dinner.
Mom said we could have ice cream or cream with our apple pie.
Me and dad wanted both.
But my ice cream and cream had to be in a separate bowl.

mmmmmmm.

then I tried my apple pie.

I told mom it was the best thing I ever ate.
Then after that one bite I gave it to dad:)

Sous chef...

Mom made dinner for some of her cousins friday night...I helped...

mom said to stir slowly so I didn't spill...
oops...

still good...even if some fell on the counter...

I even helped with the salsa...

delicious...

because I was such a good helper...we played outside...I colored with chalk...then I made mom write down the names of everyone that was coming...it's very important to me to know everyone's names.

Christi (I call her "Krist") came to visit...I have no pictures to prove it.

I called Grandma...she likes to talk to me...

Mom likes to take pictures of me on the phone...

I don't like that...

Loved my 2 "home days"...but tomorrow it is back to work for Daddy and house cleaning time for mommy!

I thought brownies were brown...

Mom asked if I wanted to help her make brownies...then she kept calling them blondies.

I got to put in all the stuff and turn on the mixer...I'm a really good cook!

When they came out of the oven I had to say...
Me: where are the brownies?
Mom: these are the brownies
Me: no...where are the brown ones...
Mom: these are just light brown ones.
Me: ohhhhh....

Man she gets a lot done when I'm not buggin' her!

While I was doing this...

Mama was doing this...

If you lived closer, you could have some too!

What is in your cornucopia?

This is what mama put in the ones she made...

I love candy...so I'm real happy with her choice!

Thanks to Martha Stewart...
You can use a sugar cone or waffle cone (mama thinks the waffle ones are cuter).  Get your teapot screaming and stick the pointy end in the hole (as far up as it fits)....let steam for 30-60 seconds (soft enough to bend).  Then carefully bend the pointy end...careful, it's very hot..hot.  Dip the open end in melted white chocolate and then cover with crushed pistachios (or any other nut that you like...mama likes the green).  Martha filled them with jelly beans, but any candy works.

Great VT treats...just put in a cello bag and tie closed with rafia.

mmmmm....cheesy noodles!

Daddy and I made cheesy noodles for dinner last night...

I was a big helper!

We did a good job, it was 'licious!

...except, I decided that maybe daddy's might taste better...
so I took his and let him try mine...

Yep...daddy used the "baby" stuff!
I wish me..me and daddy would figure out that I like to use "big people" stuff, not that silly little stuff!
