The Thompson's 10 of 2010

#10. Mom survived another year as the primary president, and loved almost every moment of it. But her time is coming to an end....and she is having mixed feelings about it. I'm sure she will keep herself busy with all the things she does around the house and with me...so she might not even miss it.

#9. Dad went from helping people find jobs to counting people's money at church. He doesn't mind the new gig...it's the staying after church he doesn't love.

#8. Dad also made another BIG move...he got a new office. He keeps getting more and more guys at his work, so they had to find a bigger place so there was room for every one. It's a really nice office with big halls for me to run down AND it's still really close to home!

#7. This year, I got to do lots of fun new things...I took swimming lessons this summer and I learned to do lots of things...like jumping in the water and putting my head under.

#6. I played on a soccer team for the first time too. I wasn't really sure about the whole soccer thing at first, but after some rewards of "rectangle doughnuts", if I would stay on the field the whole game, I learned to have fun.

#5. I turned 3 this year and got a big boy bike. I also became obsessed with anything about the number 3. If mom said to take 3 more bites, it's because I'm 3. If I wanted to bring 3 cars to play with, it's because I'm 3. I could find a reason to include the # 3 into everything. And when mom turned 33...I was a little jealous because she was two 3s and I was just one.

#4. I started school. It's preschool...but I get to take a back pack and everything. I had to do my first homework assignment and even got to go on my first field trip. I like school, even though I tell mom I don't want to go...but when she comes to get me, I don't want to go home either.

#3. Mom made over the basement.

#2. Mom and dad made over the living room and the family room.

and even though it was the last two numbers...(the house has to take up 3 numbers, not 'cause I'm 3, but because the house remodel took most of the year!)...so the #1 thing that happened this year was the kitchen getting torn out and made over.

I'm thinking if the house stuff hadn't happened, we may have been able to go on a trip to some place new and fun...maybe next year! Hope you had a fun year too! Can't wait to see what next year brings!
