Christmas 2012

Christmas is my favorite holiday.
I like to get new toys.

I have been so excited for Christmas to get here...and it finally came!

This year I asked Santa to bring me a remote control helicopter.

He did!
I love it!
He brought Dad one too...so we can fly them together!

Cooper didn't really ask Santa for anything.
But Santa must still know what we like because he gave Cooper all his favorite things.

Mickey Mouse.

Little oranges.
M&Ms

and something to ride on so maybe he'll leave my bike alone.

Other people gave me presents too!
I got A LOT of transformers.
and I LOVE them all!

Cooper did pretty good opening his presents.
But mostly he just wanted to eat candy.

I think Cooper's favorite gift was from me.
It's elmo driving a fish bowl with dorothy on it.
And Ernie driving a duck (Cooper call is a quack quack)

It was really fun opening all our presents and playing with them.
Then Grandma and Grandpa Thompson and Uncle Don came over and we had breakfast.
Then we had more Christmas so they could open their presents....they had A LOT...I quit watching after I opened my presents and went up to my room to play transformers.

In the afternoon Kensie and Blake and Uncle Steve and Aunt Jamie came over.
We exchanged the gifts we bought for our cousins.
Blake bought me a super hero lego set and Cameron bought Cooper a bus with Elmo and the Count.

Then we played and played some more!

It was a super fun day!

I thought Christmas was over after all that...
but 2 days later my Grandpa Jones and Grandma Mim and even Cameron showed up to my house all the way from Washington.
They surprised me...and I was surprised.
They even brought our Christmas presents with them!

I got another lego set and a remote control bumble bee.

Cooper got a laughing Elmo and he loves him so much!
and he got some monster feet slippers and a monster book...they are so funny!

I just really love Christmas and had so much fun!
When mom tucked me into bed on Christmas night I told her that I just couldn't wait until next Christmas...she laughed and said I had to wait 365 days...

THAT is a LONG time!

24 days of Christmas countdown...days 1-10

Mom made a new countdown board this year.
Each day I get to unclip a paper
and then I read it to find out what we get to do that day.
It's the first thing I do every morning!

Day 1:
open a new ornament for the tree.
I got Transformer ornaments
Cooper got Sesame Street ornaments.
Cooper was excited to put his on the tree...but he had to kiss Elmo first!

Day 2:
Write a letter to Santa so he knows what you want.
I really want a remote control helicopter.
I also asked for a picture of my family for my bedroom.

Day 3:
Grow snowflakes.

We took some white fuzzy sticks and shaped them into snowflakes.
Then we tied them to pencils and put them in water that I got to make blue.
Mom also put some powder stuff in (borax)...

and then we waited...and waited...and waited.

I didn't think it was going to be that cool of a project...
but our snowflakes are SO cool!
I even took one to school for "show and teach" day.

Day 4:
Go on a bike ride.
We didn't go.
Mom was sick.
It was too cold.
Mom still owes me that one.

Day 5:
Go to the dinosaur museum.
It was Cooper's first time.
We had a lot of fun.
I think Cooper's favorite parts
were playing with the dinosaurs in the water
and digging in the dirt for dinosaurs bones.

Day 6:
Get a new book
I got Pete the Cat Saves Christmas
Cooper got an Elmo Christmas book.

Day 7:
Make a snowglobe.
I got to pick out a couple little trees and a snowman.
We glued them to the lid of a jar.
Filled the jar up with water and glitter.
and I had my very own snowglobe...
I LOVE it!

Day 8:
Have cinnamon rolls for breakfast...
with hot chocolate!

Day 9:
Make Christmas trees

Day 10:
Family Game Night
Mom got us 2 new games:
Go fish dice and Phase 10 dice.
Go fish dice is way fun...even Cooper kind of played!
Phase 10 dice was fun too...but it's a long game so we didn't finish.

Can't wait to see what the next 14 days bring!

Christmas in Seattle....Part 1

I got to take Cooper on his first airplane ride.
He did really good...mostly he slept...or ate.
I watched a movie....and then we were there.

Kensie and Steve and Jamie and Blakely came to Seattle too.
I took dad to a Washington basketball game.

We had a lot of fun!

I got to stay the night with Grandpa Jones and Grandma Mim.
I really liked riding in his car.
We went to the zoo to see the Christmas lights...
and had pizza...
and stayed up really late.

Then we celebrated Christmas with them on Christmas Eve.
I got a REALLY cool T-Rex from the show dinosaur train.

Then we all went to the mall...Grandma Mim gave me $10...
then I picked a name (I got Christi)...
then I went with mom and I had 30 minutes to pick out a present for Christi.
I picked out a really pretty ring...it was gold...it said "LOVE".
"Look mom...it's a ring for 2 fingers!"

Then we went to Mandy's house and some of mom's aunts, uncles and cousins came over.
We ate dinner and decorated cupcakes.

Then we opened up some new jammies that Grandma Bonnie made.

And then it was finally time for Christmas.

Santa brought me Sid the spy plane.
and a double decker bus
and the movie Cars 2.

Cooper got an elephant.

It plays nice music.
He really likes it.

Then all of mom's brothers and sisters were there.
We filled up the stairs!

and after lots more presents...
it was time for church.
