Soccer 2012

"Mom, I'm really excited that today is my last day of soccer. I am really excited to get a trophy, but I don't think I need to play soccer again because I will have 3 trophies and 3 is plenty"

Soccer is over.

I played so good during my last game. 

I even almost made a goal.

Mom says we are not playing next year.

I'm sorry if I don't like to get close when everyone is trying to kick the ball, I'm just afraid I will hurt someone and that wouldn't be nice.

Soccer 2012

Mom wasn't real sure that she was going to let me play soccer this year...

but I kept talking about it so she said she would sign me up, but I had to play.

Of course I'll play!

My first year of soccer I was number 3, 'cause I was 3.

My second year of soccer I was number 4, 'cause I was 4.

This year, I am number 11. I am NOT 11...but mom told me that 11 is her favorite number.

It's also the favorite number of pretty much all of mom's brothers and sisters.

Mom says the number 11 is special in her family.

So I am just fine being #11.

Jonah and Brock are on my team again this year.

That is the best part of playing soccer.

I did pretty good my first game.

I threw the ball in 2 times.

I also dribbled the ball all the way down the field.

Of course mom turned off the video camera just before I did it, so she missed the whole thing.

I didn't make a goal though...but Jonah did.

Cooper had fun watching me play.

When he gets bigger he'll get to play soccer too!

I missed my second game of soccer because I had pneumonia...but Jonah and Brock played and they did real good. Jonah made 3 goals!

Soccer 2011...Season ends

I am done with soccer.

I'm not really sad.

I got a trophy.

It's not as cool as last year...last year's trophy had a spinning ball.

But I played...most of the time.

Mom is working on a video of my whole season.

She hopes to have it done soon...we'll see:)

Soccer timeouts...

Saturday I had another soccer game.

I did really good...even kicked the ball a few times.

At half time we dumped grass on coach's head...

after the game we gave him a pig pile...

I added some grass.

Then we took pictures.

He is so nice.

I still play soccer...

That's me...way out there...kicking the ball to start the game.

Sometimes I like to get in there and try.

And sometimes not so much.

What can you do...I'm 4!

Soccer 2011...game 2

We had another soccer game on Saturday.

It was a little cold outside...

so we warmed up with Coach.

Then we did some drills.

I made a goal during my turn.

Then it was time to play.

Part of the game I was like this...

There were a few times I was like this...

(it's not my fault...I only slept 2 hours and a boy kicked my leg).

The rest of the game I was like this...

I do like soccer...I just get tired and need breaks so I just take them when I need them. Mom and dad get mad because I take my breaks when I want, not when coach says....which means we don't have as many guys on the field...and well, I'm not the only one who sometimes doesn't want to play...BUT...my team is still really good and they made lots of goals.

We have 2 games this week...we'll see how I do:)

Soccer 2011...game 1

Soccer started. I'm on a new team this year, but Jonah is still on my team. Brock doesn't get to play this year...he asked his mom if he could, but she said no because she paid for him to play last year and then he didn't play in any of the games. Mom told me that if I choose not to play in my games after I asked to play, I have to pay her back...I don't want to give her any of my money, so I'm playing.

I have a new coach...his name is coach. He is really super nice. He had a practice for us last week before our game...he taught us how to dribble the ball and how to kick goals...I think I learned a lot because in my game today I did really good. Jonah made a lot of goals...I didn't make any but I almost made one...I mean it was so super close...I was so proud of myself. But even though I didn't make a goal, I kicked the ball a lot and I "stayed in there".

I'm number 3 again. I wanted to be number 4 because I am 4 now and not 3, but somebody else got number 4...I wasn't very happy at first about that...but I got over it and now if you ask me about my number I will let you know that it doesn't matter what number you are.

At halftime we sat with Coach, on the field, and he gave us water to drink...

It was a really fun game.

My last soccer game...brrrr

Last Saturday I had my final soccer game...it was FREEZING.

But I was tough and tried to play my very best for my last game.

I stayed in there for most of the game...

I decided to challenge myself a little bit...

what...you don't think I can play with my eyes covered?

We got trophies for playing so good.

I'm really glad that Jo and Brach were on my team...even if Brach didn't play any games and Jo was always distracting me...we had fun!

I hope I get to play next year!

Soccer...week 7

This is my fan club.

Uncle Keef-o, Alicia, Jeremy, Baby Aiden, M, Grandpa Jones, Dad, Grandma Thompson, Grandpa Thompson, Grandma Jones and Kelsey (and her new fiancee Scott).

I played the whole game...and only pouted once.

After the game, Keef-o brought his big ball and we played and played.

We only have one game left...and I still love soccer.

Soccer...week 6

...mom forgot the camera...

...too bad for you 'cause there would have been some awesome shots...

...I played the whole game...

...I dribbled the ball and no one could catch me...

...I was awesome...

After one of our breaks, I was a little slow to get back on the field.

Mom: Dallin, your coach is calling you

Me: Oh...I gotta go...the coach needs me...c'mon Jo...the coach needs us!

...mom's friend Teri came by...

...she told me there was a pony in the neighbor's yard...

...I decided to check it out for myself...

"yep, sure was...I saw a pony"

Soccer...weeks 4 & 5

"I'm really good at soccer."

I like to throw the ball in.

I like to kick the ball in.

"We take pictures with me and coach".

I get excited every day that's a "soccer day".

Soccer...week 3

It was FREEZING on Saturday during my game...

but mom just put lots of clothes on me...

and a hat.

I warmed up a bit before the game started...so I would be ready.

I stayed with everyone for most of the game...

I even got to kick the ball.

(I'm wearing an orange hat...daddy's ears got cold so he found my orange hat and took mom's for his head)

...today I told mom I was really sad that it wasn't a soccer day...

Soccer...week 2

I had my second soccer game this past Saturday...mom and dad were so proud of me.

Here are some important things to know if you are going to play soccer.

#1: run

("I'm number three...'cause I'm three")

#2: stay hydrated

#3: stay close to the mix...just not in the mix

#4: make sure your team knows which way to kick the ball

#5: even if you friends walk off the field pouting (that's Jo)

you get back out there...

#6: if you are lucky enough to throw the ball in (I got to twice) make sure the other kids are out of the way so your mom can actually get a picture of you throwing the ball.

#7: after you throw the ball...you get back in there.

#8: always tell the other team good job...especially if they made 10 goals and your team didn't make one...but mom says no one is keeping score.

# 9: as long as you do what mom says "you don't have to kick the ball, you just have to be on the field" you get your reward:

"a doughnut...a rectangle doughnut...with maple on it"
