We went to the zoo...

Mom really wanted to take Cooper to the zoo to see the polar bear...

Cooper LOVES "poper bears"
She was nice enough to wait till I got out of school
so I could go with them.

I took this picture.
Mom was super impressed.

Cooper watched the polar bear...Forever...

She is pretty cool!

Our time in Seattle (2013)

After our long drive to Grandma's and a good night sleep...
It was time to start our Washington fun!

On Friday mom and Grandma canned applesauce

Me and Cooper played all day with Cameron.

On Saturday we got to go on Grandpa Jones' boat
and we watched big jets fly right over our heads.

On Monday, we went to the Ballard Locks.
We watched the boats move from the really high lake
to the really low Puget sound.
(I didn't think it was all that cool)

Then we went down to the fish ladder and watched the fish swim.

They were really big.
Cooper really liked them.

On Tuesday we went to "the beach"

Really it's a lake.

I showed Vicki my swimming skills.

Cooper just played in the sand.

On Wednesday, mom and grandma canned green beans.
And daddy finally got here!

On Thursday, we went to the zoo.

There were sharks there.

and birds you could feed.

We saw baby tigers, and elephants, and seals and walruses, and foxes,
and a polar bear, and penguins, and fish and it was a super cool zoo!

On Friday we went to my mom's uncle's bakery.
She visited with some of her mom's family.
Did you know that her great aunt is still alive?...she's 92.

We ate doughnuts for breakfast there...
Cooper really liked his maple bar.

Then we walked down to the beach.

and mom even took a silly picture.

"hi-ya"

After throwing rocks in the ocean and finding cool ninja sticks,
We found the troll under the bridge.
Cooper did NOT like the troll..
"Scarrrrry"

And then we went to Pike's Place Market.

And walked down by the water!

It has been a very fun and busy week.
Tomorrow we get packed up and ready to go camping!

I can't wait!!!!
Banks Lake here we come!

The Zoo

Mom took me and Cooper to the zoo.

Cooper loved to watch all the animals...
especially the ones that were in the water.

My favorite part of the zoo is the bird show.

My favorite part used to be the train ride...but the train is gone right now.
They are redoing part of the zoo and making the train even better...
I can't wait!

A busy but very fun weekend.

Grandpa Jones and Grandma Mim came to visit.
On Saturday morning I got to go to breakfast with all the boys and Kens and Blakes while mom had a party for her cousin Mackenzie. I LOVE to go out to breakfast.
After mom's party, we all went swimming at the coolest place.

There was a lazy river...I wasn't very lazy...I went around it so many times!

There was a big slide that I went down (with mom and dad)

and there was this wave thing that dad tried.

On Sunday, we got to have dinner at Jeremy's house...we celebrated our dad's!

Monday, I stayed at home with Addie while mom and dad went to Mackenzie's wedding.

And then Tuesday...we got to go back to the zoo.
I couldn't wait to show everyone the polar bear.
she is the coolest!

It was a super fun day!

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Mim for all the fun!

The Zoo

I have been so excited to go to the zoo because they have a new area with a polar bear.
We finally got to go...Kevin and Trey even came with us.
It was Cooper's first time to the zoo.
I think he liked it.

We saw SO many animals.
It took me all of dinner to tell dad every animal we saw.

This big gorilla just sat and stared at us.
Mom said that he kept scratching his eyebrow.
Mom and Jamie were talking about how gorillas freak them out a bit!

I was so excited when we got to the new area.
It's called Rocky Shores and
IT IS AWESOME!
I could hardly contain my excitement and I ran back and forth between looking at the animals and trying to find mom to make sure she was seeing them!

There were 2 seals and a sea lion.

The sea lion was so big!

When we went to see the polar bear, she wasn't there.
I was pretty sad.
We decided to go to a bird show and then check back on her later.
I didn't really want to be at the bird show.
It was a rough few minutes between me and mom...
But...
I finally sat down and it was SO cool!
I told mom later that it was one of my favorite things at the zoo!
Cooper just crawled around and got dirty!

After the bird show, we went back to see the polar bear.
There was a moment when we thought she still wasn't out.
I was sad!
But then...we found her...and she is SO cool!

After we saw all the animals...we headed for my favorite thing at the zoo...
the train.
Cooper was so tired he couldn't even stay awake till we got there.

After the train, we got to play in the park area for a short while.
I got mad when mom said we had to go....it was my 4th rough moment.

Even though I had a few hard times at the zoo.
I really had a fun time and I talked about the zoo the rest of the day!
I hope we can go back again...and this time I'm gonna have fun no matter what!

A day with Cameron

We started the day at the zoo.

We saw all the animals.
Cameron: My favorite animal was the tiger, what was your favorite animal?
Me: Ummmm....I had one, but I need to remember what it was....

My favorite thing about the zoo today was the scooper...
I could have stayed here all day!

Cameron and I wanted to see how big we would be as gorillas.
I'm as big as Weston and Cameron's as big as a mama gorilla.

I also liked the carousel...but I didn't want to ride on any of the animals.
Cameron got on a seal...then asked mom if the animal went up and down. When she told him it did he got off and came and sat with me..."it doesn't have a seat belt and I don't want to fall off".

There were dinosaurs at the zoo.
Cameron LOVED the dinosaurs.

I did NOT!
I wanted to go home.
I did not want to go near them.
I made mom carry me.
I made her walk as far from them as possible.
It didn't matter that mom told me they weren't real a hundred times.
They moved and made sounds...real enough for me.

We found a t-rex that didn't move.
I decided to get on for a picture.
Mom: do you want to stick your head in his mouth like Cameron?
Me: No, I'll just sit on his tail!
(as far from the mouth as possible)

After the zoo we had lunch at "Old McDonald" and played on the toys.
Then we took a break at home for a little bit before heading to the park.

(I know I have a bike...but sometimes I like to ride my trike)

After the park we were hot so we got to fill up my pool to cool off!

It was a super fun day!
